Speed Specialists founder Stefan Dalberg grew up iceboating on Ghost Reservoir, a scenic lake with clear smooth ice and consistent strong breeze near Calgary, Alberta. During the summer months Stefan took to racing sailboats, where he learned the skills he needed to sail from Victoria to Australia and undertake the first documented trip down the rugged west coast of Vancouver Island in a 14 foot sailboat. Currently, Stefan is busy developing the exciting I-14 racing skiff scene in Alberta, and perfecting new techniques for carbon fibre fabrication in his workshop.
